Facebook is trying to convince advertisers to pay more attention to the conenction that users and businesses have with their brands when they are on the site where the advertisement is shown. It now showing more then just counting click-throughs from ads and links. But will advertisers pay more attention to link customers with “brands” shown in the sites.

An addition to the Page Insights dashboard, which Facebook provides for brands as a way of seeing all the analytics related to what used to be called their business “fan” pages. Besides being able to see the “likes” and “sharing” associated with a fanbook page and the demographic and gender breakdown of those interacted with the page, Facebook now shows something it calls “People Talking About This”.
